I don’t want to hear any complaints about traffic!
That’s right, I don’t want to hear any complaints about traffic in two or three years if you don’t at least get involved in the County Comprehensive Plan - Transporation Element and County Wide Transportation Plan Update that is ongoing starting about now. A public meeting is scheduled for May 28th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at a location yet to be announced.
Here is your chance to have your say. Worried about Highway 150 to Manson? You better get involved! Union Valley Road, the Chiwawa Loop Road or any other road that folks have concerns about, here is your chance to be heard and get involved in the solution.
My experience with the county is that they are really trying to get out in front of issues like traffic and be proactive in preventing or minimizing future issues. Plus, thoughtful citizen input is actually appreciated and can make a huge difference. The leaders in Chelan county, as compared to some other parts of the state, still seem to think it is a good idea for folks to be able to get around efficiently on the roads and highways.
Look at the timeline (click on it to be linked to the original) and you will see 5 public open houses. All the meetings are usually open to the public.
If you go to the meetings, share your solutions and they don’t happen, then, complain all you like! I’ll try to listen, I really will.
